What the website is and is not

Stavím sám is a free informational guide. It summarises Czech building rules in a simplified, general way, without knowing your plot, the zoning plan or your specific conditions. It is not legal advice, design work or a decision of any office. A result from the guide gives you no right to build.

Whether and how you may build is always decided by the building office and the authorities involved, under the rules in force and their interpretation. Rules change, and each office may see a case differently.

Accuracy

We prepare the information carefully from the law and public data, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, accurate or up to date. Procedure lengths are past statistics, not a promise of how long your case will take. Templates are examples only and must be adapted to your case.

Liability

You use the website at your own risk. Before you build, buy anything or file an application, check everything with an authorised designer, a lawyer or the building office itself.

The operator is not liable for any damage or loss arising from use of the website or reliance on its content, for example fines, an order to remove a building, a rejected application, delays or wasted costs. This applies to the extent permitted by law. Czech law does not allow excluding liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence.
